Affordable Legal Support

Cadas was founded by Mike Carlson to support the legal and creative professionals he’s developed relationships with over the last 30 years. Cadas provides legal services at predictable and affordable rates for folks who don’t yet need to hire additional staff but need the expertise of a seasoned legal pro.

Our standard hourly rate is just $105. Discounts available when purchasing a block of service hours in advance. Flat rates available for services like Cite Check and Hallucination Review ($25), Trademark Clearance Reports ($125), Rapid Response Memos ($425), and more. We’ll also set a flat rate for projects when you set up a time to discuss your project before we get started.

About Mike: Mike Carlson is the founder of Cadas. He has been headquartered in Minneapolis since 1995. He became a lawyer in 2003. He honed his research skills serving 10 years as Reference Staff Attorney for Thomson Reuters. Mike was also Practice Management Advisor at the Minnesota State Bar Association, and founder of Gray Paper Legal which supports the technical needs of solo and small law firms.

Mike acquired his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and his MA from Goddard College where he explored how games and play might model methods for improving access to justice.

When not in his office you might find Mike at a local watering hole in the Kingfield Neighborhood: Good Times, Clancey’s, Tap Society, Kyatchi, Cucina Latina…many others.
